The Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement (Tawazun), the UAE’s authority for developing and sustaining the defence and security industry, announced the signing of 27 local and international contracts during the Dubai Airshow 2025. The total value of these agreements reached AED 24.443 billion (US$6.65 billion).
Among these, seven new contracts on behalf of the Ministry of Defence were signed on the final day, valued at AED 6.427 billion (US$1.75 billion).
Key Local Contracts Signed
Abdulla Ahmed Al Saeedi, spokesperson for Tawazun, highlighted several notable deals:

Calidus (Abu Dhabi) – Al Heda missile launch system procurement worth AED 6.142 billion (US$1.67 billion).

International Golden Group (IGG) – Drone systems acquisition valued at AED 57.858 million (US$15.75 million).

Abu Dhabi Autonomous Systems Investments (ADASI) – Radar systems procurement for AED 37.684 million (US$10 million).

Supreme Professional Services – Follow-on support, spare parts, and radar maintenance, worth AED 20 million (US$5.45 million).
Major International Deals
The final day also saw three contracts with French companies, totaling AED 169.616 million (US$46.2 million):

Thales – Thermal weapon sights for AED 75.966 million (US$20.7 million).

CS Group – Systems procurement worth AED 32.24 million (US$8.8 million).

MBDA – Follow-on support, spare parts, and repair services for MICA, Black Shaheen, and Mistral systems, valued at AED 61.41 million (US$16.7 million).

Manea Abdulkarim Al Mansoori, official spokesperson for Tawazun, emphasized that these contracts reflect the UAE’s commitment to building an integrated, innovative, and strategically advanced defence sector.
He added that Tawazun continues to create a competitive and enabling environment for private sector participation, strengthening the UAE’s defence and security ecosystem.
