Apple’s Expansion into Saudi Arabia

Apple has announced plans to open its first flagship retail store in Saudi Arabia by 2026. The tech giant will also launch an online store in the Kingdom as early as summer 2025. This expansion is part of Apple’s efforts to deepen its connection with Saudi customers and provide direct service support in Arabic for the first time.

CEO Tim Cook’s Commitment to Saudi Market

Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, emphasized the company’s dedication to supporting the ambitions of Saudi consumers. The retail stores will offer a full range of Apple products, with personalized service, device setup, and product comparison options. Customers will also benefit from financing and payment plans.

Iconic Store Location at Diriyah

Apple plans to open several stores, including an iconic location at Diriyah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This site will reflect Apple’s long-term investment in the country.

Building on Previous Investments

Apple is also expanding its presence through initiatives like the Apple Developer Academy in Riyadh, which opened in 2021. The academy focuses on coding, design, and entrepreneurship, with graduates launching successful apps that contribute to Saudi Arabia’s growing app economy. Over the past five years, Apple has invested more than 10 billion SAR with local businesses and supports the growth of public transit innovations like Apple Pay.
